On this beginner workshop, you will learn to spin on a drop spindle. It is a great workshop for those who are interested in designing and creating their own yarn, so that they can introduce their own hand spun elements into their weaving or knitting projects in the future.

As well as learning how to spin on a drop spindle you will also learn how to use the Andean plying method to then ply your spun yarn together. You will also have the opportunity to create your own unique colour palette, allowing you to explore and investigate how different colours work when combined together.

Please note that you will be leaving the class with skills and knowledge for you to continue this new craft at home. You will also leave with some spun yarn on this beginners workshop but not enough for your next large knitting project!

You'll have a half hour break at lunch time to pop out into Chapel Allerton to grab some lunch - there's plenty of great coffee shops within a couple of minutes walk

All attendees will get 10% off in Chirpy during the workshop
